About Barrack Square
Barrack Square was a former North West Mounted Police parade square. Now, it is the site of our City Hall, The Genevieve Yates Memorial Theatre, and the Sterndale Bennet Theatre. Local performance art groups use the theatre spaces for their productions throughout the year. This is also the current location of the cenotaph, a place to pay respects to Lethbridge residents who fought in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War.
