Trianon Ballroom

This building was aptly named after a pavilion in Marie Antoinette’s Garden of Versailles. Now the space has workshops, plays, dances, musical events, fundraisers, and a wide variety of art exhibitions. After the Great Depression led to the closing of Hudson’s Bay on 5th st and 1st ave, The building was purchased by John Arthur Jardine who converted it into a ballroom. The Hall was very popular especially during the Second World War. Service personnel would frequent the hall on weekends. Trianon Ballroom served as a morale boost that the city needed during the Great Depression and WWII.
