Offrande Migratoire / Migratory Gift
Marc Dulude, 2018
At the very core of this monumental work of art is the symbol of stones brought back from traveling so as to remember the people, the encounters and the territory. The Québec granite block, whose movement is marked by a trail on the ground, seems to have been laid there by four bronze Canada geese, those faithful migratory birds that always return to the same places. This work of art is a gift from Saint-Laurent, Québec, to the City of Lethbridge, in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the twinning of the two communities (1967-2017).
