Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day with Indigenous tacos, live entertainment, pow-wow dancers, drumming, food trucks, vendors with scavenger hunt & prizes, as well as a kids' crafts & activities. (Reserved seating and accomodations will be provided for Elders). June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. It's a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. It takes place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration. Note** Location: West Parking lot, if raining, will relocate inside the library's North Wing, Piitoyiss/Eagles Nest Area.
